He was a professor at the Institute of Science, Technology and Arts. The deputy dean of the School of Transmedia Art of China Academy of Art is also the director of the Department of Open Media. His works are performed all over the world. He has promoted the development of Chinese new media art and sound art through radio programs, record labels, websites, and teaching. The first Transmedia Art Festival, the “Sound”, and the Revolution: Chinese Sound Art Exhibition are some of the art exhibitions he has organized.

Yao Dajun is an outstanding noise artist and his work has inspired my love of noise art. In his works, he combines music, sound, language and other sounds to create unique sound spaces. Not only did his work leave me in awe, but it also inspired me to create. I was first introduced to Yao Daqun’s work at an exhibition called ‘Noise Art’ and was impressed by his work. Not only did I admire his work, but it inspired me to try my hand at creating my own noise art. Yao Dajun’s work has not only inspired me to create, but it has also changed my perspective on music.
